The So. Valley Econ. Dev. Center is a multi-purpose small business incubator which was started in 2005. The Certified Comercial Kitchen portion is approximately 6,000 square feet with name-brand, state of the art equipment. We serve caterers and producers who live within the South Valley of Albuquerque or have a direct economic impact upon the unincorporated portion of Bernalillo County. Prices range from about $15 per/hr. to $50 per/hr., depending on the amount of space and utilities that are used. Cold, Refrigerated, Freezer, and Dry storage is available for small fees. Frequent User, Prep, and Clean-up hours are discounted. In addition to economically impacting the So. Valley community, users must attend a two-hour orientation, become certified from the local environmental health governmental agency, and carry product insurance. Training on the kitchen use and equipment operation is available on-site. The commercial kitchen is available 24 hours per/day, 7 days per/wk.
